Description
During this workshop, you will join Nic in coiling your own pot in the traditional way using terracotta clay. Nic will guide you step by step starting with the base, how to make coils and attaching layer by layer. He will also demonstrate how he finishes his pots including burnishing, the surface decoration and he will smoke fire a pot to complete the process.
Don’t miss the opportunity to learn more about handbuilt-coil pots produced in the same manner over thousands of years and the knowledge passed down from generation to generation. Nic has won numerous awards and is a master of smoke-fired and saggar-fired pieces. Light lunch and refreshments will be served.
Notes: Total cost = R1050 per person EXCLUSIVE of VAT. A deposit of R600 secures your booking, the balance will be due on 19 August and you will receive a reminder and link for the balance payment to secure your space. Limited spaces are available.

CANCELLATION TERMS:
- The registered participant may invite another person to substitute their place in the workshop (in which they are registered) at any time, and at no extra charge.
- No refund will be offered if notice of cancellation is received 7 days or less from the scheduled starting date.
- If notice of cancellation is received 8 days or more from the scheduled starting date, a 50% credit of the deposit or full fee paid will be issued.
- In the unlikely event that the workshop is cancelled, all confirmed participants will be notified immediately and a full refund will be issued.
